My entry for the "I dream" Contest; [link] ^^
I started thinking about my dreams and tried to draw a few of my big ones but then I realised that my biggest dream really is to always be able to dream. When I feel lonely or depressed there's always a dream to keep me comfort. It makes me excited and gives me hope about my future and it always helps me to get out of a dark mood. I guess that's why I'm never able to be depressed for a long time  I don't ever want to lose my dreams, even if they never come true or if they change. When I lose my ability to dream and the last one falls I'll fall with it. That's what I tried to draw. The boy is holding on to his last dream, which is the red diamond, his face void of emotions after having lost all his other dreams and when the cord breaks and his last one falls he'll fall with it, in to the darkness.. Wooow, hello emoness~ lol XD I really crawled out of my comfort zone with this drawing. I experimented a lot, because my scanner failed to scan coloured pencils.. TT.TT So I messed around with gimp and SAI and used old paper texture from bleeding-dragon ; [link] I hope using texture is allowed though >.<; Oh and it's obvious that he's bending down, right? >.>; Feedback & comments would be amazing~! And wish mai luck~~ (I'll need more than luck with all those amazing entries though.. *3*) Thanks so much~!  Tools: Van Gogh colour pencils, golden & white gel pen, Gimp & SAI Time: 38 hours..  So slow.. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. De jongen lijkt in een droom te zitten maar ook in realiteit. wat ik ook mooi vind is hoe hij de ketting vast houd. het is echt mooi en echt kunst eerlijk waar! je verrast me telkens weer hoe goed je werkelijk bent. je hebt echt talent en hoop echt dat je ver komt als artiest en natuurlijk wens ik je veel geluk met de wedstrijd.
